The mission of North Coast Food Web is to cultivate healthy communities and a vibrant economy through food and agriculture. Our vision of a North Coast “food web” is a community that is home to a diverse and thriving group of farmers, fishermen, and foragers. These food producers have strong relationships with families, local businesses and organizations and are a pillar of our coastal economy. Healthy food is easier to access for all of us, regardless of who we are and our financial means. The connections made through the “web” contribute to the increased health and wellbeing we see in our community.

Oregon Farm Bureau is a grassroots, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization representing the interests of farming and ranching families in the public and policymaking arenas. Participants in the Oregon Farm Direct Nutrition Program receive green $4.00 checks to spend on fresh, locally-grown fruits, vegetables, and cut edible herbs directly with authorized farmers. The program's online directory lists farm stands and farmers market locations to find farmers authorized to accept Farm Direct checks issued to families enrolled in the WIC (Women, Infants and Children) program and income-eligible seniors.

The Oregon Pasture Network (OPN) is a program of Friends of Family Farmers, designed to support the growth of pasture-based farming in our state. OPN is a community of farmers, ranchers, food business owners and consumers who believe that sustainable, humane, pasture-raised, animal agriculture is the best way to produce animal products.
